New observers needed!
- Now you have passed your advanced motoring test, don't sit back and say "I'm an advanced driver". Become an observer and help others achieve what you have. We have a waiting list of associates waiting for observers and don't want a repeat of 1991 when the committee had to stop recruiting new associates.
- Most people who have achieved membership of the IAM have the ability to become observers with a bit of further training. Observers are only asked to give up about 1 and a half hours a week, and generally get a great deal of satisfaction out of passing on their skill to others. An additional benefit of being an Observer is that it really does help to maintain and increase one’s own standard of driving.
- Have a word with the Chief Observer John Oakley [01279 651906 (evenings between 6:00 and 9:00 and weekends)], or any committee member for a no-obligation chat on what is involved.
